With over 25 years of hands-on experience as a professional dog trainer and animal shelter volunteer, Alexandra specializes in force-free, reward-based training and behavior modification. Her approach helps dogs learn faster while building confidence, emotional resilience, and a strong bond with their guardians.

Alexandra studied under world champion dog trainer Susan Garrett and incorporates the Learning Through Games of Choice methodology—an evidence-based, game-based training system that teaches dogs to think, make good decisions, and succeed in real-life situations. This method is especially effective for dogs struggling with fear, reactivity, impulse control, or stress-related behaviors.

She developed Dog Savvy’s behavior modification programs to help puppies and adult dogs work through common challenges such as leash reactivity, resource guarding, territorial aggression, bite histories, how to stop barking, and separation anxiety—without the use of fear, pain, or intimidation.

Today, Alexandra works closely with dog guardians through private in-home dog training in Salt Lake City and virtual dog training sessions, helping families create calmer, safer, and more connected lives with their dogs.
